Dunlaith Ingen Donnchada — Mughal Era Dupatta

This is a small dupatta created for Duchess Indrakshi as a gift for her as a consort.

The dupatta is a shawl/mantle worn over the shoulders in the Mughal era of clothing. The dupatta traditionally is done with silk or metallic threads on either silk or chiffon fabric

This dupatta was done by hand embroidery on green silk chiffon with metallic threads.

The design was my own creation from designs I located on the internet and put together, I wanted to reference the east kingdom with the tiger and the Indian culture with the peacock.
