While there is no garb police I enjoy the idea of having garb that fits my persona. A tunic and pants is an easy and suitable outfit for many things but what should a 12th century Svan minor noble wear?

From that question I dove into the visual record of garments on frescoes from the Golden Age of the Kingdom of Georgia (11th – 13th century) as well as the cultural context, and academic sources on Georgian costume. There are no extant items of clothing from Georgia in the time period of interest and limited archaeology relating to fabric or clothing. However the adjoining areas of the North Caucasus have multiple examples of clothing and clothing fragments that, when combined with the Georgian visual record, can identify a garment that is definitively Georgian.
