This is a tablet woven silk laurel fillet brocaded in gold thread. I hand-dyed the silk in indigo and weld, and devised a pattern of laurel leaves imitating period examples to come as close to a 14th century aesthetic as possible. The center is set with a star sapphire, alluding to the wearer’s heraldry.

Great job on the dyeing and pattern. I can tell this took many hours or dedication to create.
